Reusable Bread Bags Are Coming Soon to Hive to Home and They're Linen

Something new is rising at Hive to Home and Wraps...and it’s been a long time coming.

I’m so excited to finally share that reusable bread bags are coming soon!

Over the years, so many of you have told me how much you love using your beeswax wraps for homemade goodies but I keep hearing the same question:

“Will you ever make bread bags?”

The answer is finally yes.

I'm especially excited to share that the bread bags are being partnership with Prescott Group. The Prescott Group is described as "Our community is made up of people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD’s) – and those that don’t! We’re in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Together, we build friendships, share experiences, and create inclusive spaces where everyone can learn, grow, and thrive.

Our programs, services, and businesses give us choices, help us learn important skills, and create chances for us to be part of the community and work." on their website.

Made for Reusable Homemade Bread (and Real Life)

These reusable linen bread bags are being designed with everyday use in mind. Whether you’re baking sourdough, sandwich loaves, buns, baguettes, or picking up fresh bread from the market, these bags are meant to help keep bread protected while cutting down on single-use plastic.

Just like my wraps, they’ll be thoughtfully made in small batches with durability, simplicity, and sustainability at the heart of everything.

There are two sizes of bags that will be available. One is more square, while the other is more rectangular.

Why 100% Linen (European Flax) Reusable Linen Bread Bags?

When choosing fabric for these bread bags, I wanted something that was durable, natural, breathable, and made to last which is why I chose 100% linen made from European flax.

Linen has been used for generations in kitchens and bakeries because it naturally allows bread to breathe better than synthetic fabrics or plastic. This helps reduce excess moisture buildup while still protecting your loaf.

Why I love it for bread bags:

  • Breathable for homemade bread storage

  • Strong and long-lasting

  • Made from natural fibres

  • Timeless, simple, and beautiful

  • Reusable again and again

  • Softens beautifully over time with use

European flax linen is also known for its quality and durability, making it a thoughtful choice for products designed to be used daily and loved for years.

Just like everything at Hive to Home and Wraps, these bread bags are meant to be practical, sustainable, and made with intention.

I will also offer the option for a beeswax and jojoba oil brush on.

Coming Soon

I’m still in the final stages of preparation, but I wanted to give you a little sneak peek of what’s ahead.

If you’ve been looking for another simple way to reduce waste in your kitchen while supporting handmade and small business, I think you’re going to love these.
